GRISBAUM, Judge.

This is a personal injury matter in which the State of Louisiana (the State) appeals the ruling of the trial court which awarded the plaintiff $59,861.79 in damages. We amend, and, as amended, affirm.

ISSUES

We are called upon to determine three specific issues:(1) Whether the trial court committed reversible error in allowing hearsay evidence to prove defendant’s breach of duty;(2) Whether the trial court erred in finding the plaintiff free from fault; and(3) Whether the trial court abused its discretion in awarding damages.
