The plaintiffs in these cases were members of the police force in Stamford. On March 12, 1958, each plaintiff was arrested on a charge of breaking and entering and was bound over for trial in the Superior Court. On that date, each, because of his arrest, was suspended from duty by the chief of police, Joseph W. Kinsella. No question is raised as to the validity of the suspension for a period of ten days.
