¶1 Kevin R. Bowen appeals his convictions for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and first degree unlawful possession of a firearm. He argues that the trial court violated his public trial right and that the evidence was insufficient to support his convictions. Pro se, he further argues that he received ineffective assistance of counsel because defense counsel *825did not file a motion to suppress the firearm evidence.
