Emma Lee Collins, now McCrummen, instituted this action against the United States and against A. G. Collins and Nola Z. Collins, to recover $10,000, the proceeds of a National Service Life Insurance policy issued to her deceased husband, Warren G. Collins, herein referred to as the insured. The material facts are these: The insured, a single man, was enlisted in the military forces of the United States.
