Plaintiffs-Appellants Firefighters' Retirement System, Municipal Employees' Retirement System of Louisiana, and New Orleans Firefighters' Pension & Relief Fund (collectively, "Plaintiffs") filed accounting malpractice claims against Defendant-Appellee Grant Thornton ("GT"). GT filed a motion to dismiss the suit as premature because Plaintiffs failed to bring their claims before an accountant review panel, as required by Louisiana law.
