Plaintiff, a minor, brought this action by next friend to recover damages in the sum of $50,000 for personal injuries alleged to have been caused and suffered on or about April 3, 1925, by reason of the negligence of defendant corporation, which owns, operates and maintains a toll bridge across the Missouri River, extending between the city of Atchison, in the State of Kansas, and the town of Winthrop, or East Atchison, in the State of Missouri.
