The plaintiff Paul Bederson, who is the son and personal representative of the estate of Robert Bederson, now deceased, brought this medical malpractice action against the United States (“government defendant”), pursuant to the Federal Tort Claims Act (“FTCA”), 28 U.S.C. §§ 1346(b) and 2671, et seq., and a private physician, for damages allegedly sustained from negligent medical treatment received by Robert Bederson in June, 2007.
