VAN PELT, District Judge.
This matter is before the court on motions by the defendant, Mac Donald Engineering Company, for judgment notwithstanding the verdict or, in the alternative, for a new trial. The case has been tried to a jury who returned a verdict for the plaintiff, Robert D. Hover, in the amount of $75,000.
This case arose out of an accident •occurring on a construction project for Northwestern Cement Company at Ma:son City, Iowa. The plaintiff who was injured in the accident was at the time .an employee of Dewey Electric Company, which Company was a sub-contractor at the project.…
