COLE, Judge.
The issue we must decide in this case is whether the double jeopardy protection against successive prosecutions for the same offense bars the appellant’s conviction of conspiracy to distribute controlled dangerous substances (CDS).
The facts are not in dispute. On September 16, 1982, Cornelius B. Mason was charged in Baltimore County under two criminal informations (82-CR-3029 and 82-CR-3030) with various CDS offenses that occurred on August 13 and 14, 1982.
