This was a workmen’s compensation case. Claimant had been in the employ of respondent about eleven years as a track laborer. On March 22,-1934, while in the regular course of his employment, a piece of steel about the size and thickness of a dime flew into his left eye, cutting and severing the eyeball. He was taken to the hospital, where an eye specialist removed the eye, and soon thereafter put in a glass eye, and he was able to leave the hospital April 9.
