A jury convicted appellant David Wayne Jones of violating the terms of his civil commitment on two occasions. The trial court subsequently found enhancement paragraphs true and assessed Jones’s punishment at twenty years’ confinement in each case. In fourteen appellate issues, Jones challenges the trial court’s subject matter jurisdiction, the trial court’s refusal to quash the enhancement paragraphs, the trial court’s failure to instruct the jury on an issue, the trial court’s exclusion of several categories of evidence, and the sufficiency of the evidence…
