The determination to be made is whether Albert Greatsinger, the plaintiff’s former husband, was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen at the time of his death, October 26, 1918, permitting plaintiff to participate in the beneficiary fund of the order to the extent of $1,500. It is conceded the deceased became a member of the brotherhood in January, 1912, and was expelled in May, 1913, for non-payment of dues.
