This is a proceeding on a writ of habeas corpus procured by the defendant, who was convicted before C. E. Barnes, acting police justice of the village of Hancock, Delaware county, N. Y., on the complaint and information charging him with the crime of selling liquors without a license in violation of section 132-a of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law of the State of New York.
