Plaintiff was engaged in the retail grocery trade on the premises occupied by it and known as 442 to 452 Cedar street in the city of St. Paul. In the month of March, 1918, on the date stated in the complaint, the several defendants, fire insurance companies doing business in this state, issued and delivered to plaintiff their separate policies of insurance, thereby insuring plaintiff against loss or damage by fire in the use and occupancy of the premises in which its said business was carried on and conducted for the period of one year.
