In this case James W. Saunders, a tenured teacher at Linn Technical Junior College in Osage County, seeks reinstatement after discharge by the School Board, with back pay since December 21, 1971. Saunders was an English teacher, but the department was described as “Communications,” it being considered as merely ancillary to the major courses.
