Defendant Anthony Smith was indicted for murder, armed robbery, burglary, and armed violence. Prior to trial, the State nol-prossed the burglary counts. A jury found defendant guilty of murder, armed robbery and armed violence, and he was sentenced to concurrent penitentiary terms of 60, 50, and 50 years, respectively.
