OPINION
ERBY L. JENKINS, Special Justice.
This is an appeal in error from the Circuit Court of Washington County, Tennessee. The sole question for decision is whether the learned trial judge was correct in sustaining defendant’s demurrers. The trial judge rendered his decision fol lowing the submission of briefs and oral argument.
Plaintiff, a municipal corporation, filed a declaration which, as amended, charged both libel and conspiracy to libel against the following defendants and sought forty-eight million ($48,000,000) dollars in compensatory damages from Cowles Communications, Incorporated,…
