Plaintiff appeals from an adverse ruling of the Board of Review of the Ohio State Bureau of Unemployment Compensa*162tion (herein called the Bureau), which held that he had not established his eligibility for unemployment compensation benefits and denied him the right to receive benefits for the week ending January 28, 1950.

Plaintiff is 58 years old, has a family, and is classified as a laborer.

Prior to being laid off because of lack of work he worked for the Van Horn Construction Company of Youngstown, Ohio, as a plasterer’s helper. For four or five years he had worked at the…
