OPINION
TENNEY, District Judge.
The plaintiff, Index Fund, Inc. (“Index Fund”) began this action in 1973, alleging *97that various parties violated the federal securities laws and the common law of fraud. Two of the defendants, First National City Bank (“Citibank”) and First National City Trust Company (Bahamas) Limited (“Cititrust”) (hereinafter referred to jointly as “defendants”),1 now move to strike a portion of the plaintiffs amended complaint.
