While in the employ of the named defendant on August 23, 1938, as cook in an inn at Old Lyme, the plaintiff fell and sustained, as she then claimed, a fracture of her wrist. On September 21, 1938, a written agreement for the payment of $10.39 per week during total incapacity as compensation for her injury, “the nature of which is . . . fracture of the right wrist,” was signed by the parties, and on September 28, 1938, was duly approved by the commissioner.
