TUTTLE, Chief Judge:

This is an appeal from conviction and sentence of the appellants, Myers and Sims, to serve ten years imprisonment for violation of Title 18, U.S.C.A. Sec, 241, 1 one of the basic civil rights criminal statutes.

These appellants, together with one Hampton Turner, were tried jointly for engaging in a conspiracy “to injure, oppress, threaten, and intimidate Negro citizens of the United States in the vicinity of Athens, Georgia, in the free exercise and enjoyment by said Negro citizens of the following rights and privileges secured to them by the Constitution and laws of the…
