¶ 1. The Circuit Court of Attala County, Mississippi, convicted Justin James of one count of armed robbery, one count of manslaughter, two counts' of aggravated assault, and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. James appealed, and this Court affirmed his convictions on February 11, 2014. On July 7, 2015, James filed a motion for postcoriviction relief (“PCR”). James’s motion was predicated upon an affidavit of Barry Love, a key State witness at James’s trial, who recanted his testimony against James.
