This action is brought to recover money •paid for taxes imposed on bank stock-owned by the plaintiff in the years 1886, 1887, 1888.
Three causes of action are stated in the' complaint, one for each year. It is alleged that the plaintiff, at the times mentioned in the complaint, was a fire- insurance company, duly *146•organized and incorporated under and by virtue of the. laws of the-state of .Connecticut, and doing business in fire insurance in-this state, and was at such times the owner and" holder of . the number of shares of stock of the several banks , and banking associations, duly organized…
