The statute (Rem. Rev. Stat., § 5831-2 [P. C. § 4532-2], subd. (b)) provides that if an insolvent corporation makes a transfer of any of its property to one who has reasonable cause to believe that such transfer would effect a preference; or (Rem. Rev.
