A writ of error was awarded to the receivers of the Chicago and Alton Railroad Company to review the judgment of the circuit court of Peoria county confirming an award of compensation made by the Industrial Commission against the plaintiffs in error, in favor of George Ihrig, on account of an accident arising out of and in the course of his employment by the plaintiffs in error, which resulted in the amputation of his right leg.

The only question in controversy is the jurisdiction of the Industrial Commission, the plaintiffs in error claiming that the commission was without jurisdiction…
