OPINION OF THE COURT

WALCZAK, Judge:

The appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of officer members at Fort Lewis, Washington. Contrary to his pleas, he was convicted of two specifications of wrongful distribution of cocaine, in violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 912a (1982 and Supp. V 1987) [hereinafter UCMJ]. The court-martial sentenced the appellant to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for five years, forfeiture of $377.00 pay per month for five years, and reduction to Private El.
