OPINION
O’CONNOR, Justice.
This Court is asked whether a trial court abused its discretion when it refused to reinstate a suit dismissed for want of prosecution. We find that it did, and reverse.
On December 31, 1987, Chris Brown, individually and d/b/a Memorial Executive Suites, the plaintiff, filed a suit against Howeth Investments, Inc. and A.J. (Jack) Howeth, the defendants. In November of 1989, the plaintiff sought new counsel, due to his “extreme disappointment” with his first lawyer’s inaction on his suit.
