Plaintiff appeals from an order of the district court of Norman county modifying the judgment entered in a divorce action relating *113to the custody of Mavis Molto, eight years of age, the only child of the parties.
The plaintiff and the defendant were married in June 19áá. They separated in November 1950. Thereafter plaintiff instituted an action for divorce against the defendant alleging cruel and inhuman treatment.
