In this challenge to his conviction for second-degree murder while armed, D.C. Code 1973, §§ 22-2403, -3202(a)(1), and carrying a pistol without a license, D.C. Code 1973, § 22-3204, appellant raises four issues: (1) whether the government violated the Interstate Agreement on Detainers; (2) whether the trial court erred by failing to limit the number of prior convictions used to impeach his credibility after he took the stand and by permitting mention of the particular crimes for which he had been convicted; (3) whether his Sixth Amendment right to counsel was violatéd…
