Bill W. Faust (appellant), a former employee of Ryder Commercial Leasing & Services (respondent), in his first amended petition, sought damages against respondent in five counts for: Count I—Wrongful Retaliatory Discrimination and Discharge in Violation of Public Policy; Count II—Breach of Contract; Count III—Promissory Estoppel; Count IV—Fraudulent Misrepresentation; and, Count V—Negligent Misrepresentation.
