Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Rensselaer County (Ceresia, Jr., J.), rendered June 11, 1993, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crimes of rape in the first degree, sodomy in the first degree and sexual abuse in the first degree (two counts).

Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of rape in the first degree, sodomy in the first degree and two counts of sexual abuse in the first degree stemming from sexual acts perpetrated upon a six-year-old child. Defendant was sentenced to consecutive indeterminate prison terms of 8 Vs to 25 years for rape and SVs to 25 years…
