Plaintiff Charles Crawford brought this action pursuant to section 205(g) of the Social Security Act, as amended (“the Act”), 42 U.S.C. § 405(g) (1982), seeking review of a final decision of the Secretary of Health and Human Services (“the Secretary”) denying plaintiff disability benefits for the period between July 28, 1979 and September 1, 1984. 1 The parties have cross-moved for judgment on the pleadings pursuant to Fed.R.Civ.P. 12(c).
