This is an appeal from a judgment entered in Superior Court granting the defendants’ motions for directed verdicts at the close of the plaintiff’s case in a civil action for medical malpractice.

The action was instituted by plaintiff, Donald E. Schenck, executor of the estate of Adolph E. Schenck, against defendants, Roger Williams General Hospital and Leocadia C. Flynn, executrix of the estate of Joseph C. Flynn, to recover damages for personal injuries suffered by plaintiffs decedent which were allegedly caused by defendants’ negligence.
