Action by the father to recover damages for the wrongful death of a minor child. There is no real conflict in the evidence. On and prior to May 15, 1914, the defendant was operating an electric lighting and power line in the city of North Yakima, Washington, under a franchise granted by the city to its predecessor in interest authorizing the maintenance of poles and wires in the streets and alleys of the city.
