The plaintiffs, Charles G. Lind and Wallace Schwab, leased property in River Forest from the defendants. They brought this action to cancel the lease on the ground that the contemplated use of the property for a photo finishing establishment violated the zoning ordinance of the village. Defendants’ answer denied that the lease was invalid, and their counterclaim sought judgment for rent alleged to be due under the lease.
