KELLEY, Justice.

Appellant James Edward Cermak was convicted of 30 counts of criminal sexual conduct.1 He seeks a new trial, claiming the trial court prejudicially erred in denying his motion to remove the designated judge and in determining child witnesses were competent to testify; that he was denied effective assistance of counsel of his choice; that there was prosecutorial misconduct; that the evidence was insufficient to support the jury’s verdict; and that the trial court abused its discretion by ordering 11 consecutive sentences totalling 480 months of incarceration.
