SANDERS, Justice.

This is a criminal prosecution. The defendant, Estherword Bertrand, was convicted of the simple kidnapping of Cheryl Lynn Ortego, a six-year-old girl. The court, in addition to a fine with default jail confinement, sentenced him to be confined *236in the State Penitentiary for a period of two years. He has appealed, relying upon eight of the Bills of Exception reserved in the trial court and a Motion in Arrest of Judgment attacking the indictment.
