delivered the opinion of the court.

September 24, 1922, appellee was struck by an automobile driven by appellant while she was attempting to cross South Grand avenue, an east and west street of the City of Springfield, near its intersection with Pasfield street, a north and south street. To recover damages for the injuries which she sustained as the result of the collision she brought suit in the circuit court of Sangamon county. Declaration in the case consisted of three counts.
