This is an appeal from an order of the District Court for the District of New Jersey denying the defendants’ motion to stay criminal proceedings pending against them in that court. On August 29, 1944, the defendants were indicted for violations of Revised Maximum Price Regulation No. 169, which regulation establishes ceiling prices on retail sales of meat.1 On September 1, 1944, the defendant filed a protest against the regulation with the Price Administrator.
