The object of this bill is to recover the sum of $1,000 alleged to be due on a policy of life insurance issued by the defendant company to one Jno. W. Boyd and by the latter assigned to the complainant to secure the payment of a debt which exceeded the face amount of the policy. The policy was issued on the 27th of September, 1901, and provided for the payment of a premium of $33 on the 27th day of September of each year. The insured, John W. Bóyd, died November 14, 1904.
