This is an appeal from a judgment in favor of the plaintiff entered upon a directed verdict; also from an order denying defendant’s motion for a new trial on the minutes. The action was on two policies of life insurance, each in the principal sum of $2,000. The policies bore different dates but each went into effect November 18, 1931. The insured died November 19, 1933. Initially, the policies provided for payment of premiums in the amount of $57.56 semi-annually on the eighteenth of each May and November, thirty-one days’ grace being allowed for premium payments.
