This appeal arises out of an action brought by the plaintiff, Jermaine D. Deas, to recover damages against Enrique C. Diaz, Valdermar Hernandez and the *148defendant Transportation General, Inc., doing business as Metro Taxi,1 in connection with an automobile accident. See Deas v. Diaz, 121 Conn.
