This matter comes before the Court on the motion of BNY Mellon, N.A. (“BNY”), seeking an extension of time to file a proof of claim in this case, or, alternatively, a determination that its is claim entitled to distribution with timely filed claims pursuant to § 726(a)(2)(C) of Title 11, U.S.C., because it did not have notice of the bankruptcy filing prior to the deadline for filing proofs of claim (the “bar date”).1 The motion is opposed by several parties in interest, who claim that, although BNY did not have notice of the…
