The issue is whether the district court abused its discretion when it rejected the first two plea agreements between the government and the defendant Jason J. Greener before accepting a third plea agreement. We hold that it was not an abuse of discretion.

Facts and Procedure

On April 17, 1991, Jason J. Greener was named in a four-count indictment in the Western District of Wisconsin. Count I charged the defendant with unlawful possession of a Remington 870 shotgun and a SM-10 machine gun in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 5861(d). Count II charged the…
