The plaintiff in error, hereinafter called defendant, was convicted in the district court of Caddo county upon a charge of murder, and his punishment fixed at imprisonment for life.
The record discloses that defendant was a young man about 24 years of age, a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Indians; married to Eloise Patterson, also a member of the tribe. They had living one child about four years of age.
