After a jury trial, the defendant was convicted of assault in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-60 (a) (2)1 and larceny in the *127sixth degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-125b.2 The jury found him not guilty of robbery in the first degree, as charged in the first count of the substitute information.
