— Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Rockland County (Meehan, J.), rendered January 10, 1984, convicting him of rape in the first degree and assault in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial (Edelstein, J.), after a hearing, of those branches of the defendant’s omnibus motion which were to suppress his statements to law enforcement authorities and physical evidence.
