Defendant was charged with the unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of cannabis. (720 ILCS 570/401(a)(2)(A), 402(a)(2)(A), 550/4(b) (West 1992).) Defendant filed a motion to suppress all evidence of contraband found in the search of her vehicle. The circuit court granted the defendant’s motion to suppress because of the failure of the Pontiac police department to have any standardized guidelines for inventory searches.
