MEMORANDUM OPINION and ORDER

Plaintiff Donald R. Mayes (“Plaintiff’) filed this action against Defendants for violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., as amended (“Title VII”), for compensatory and punitive damages under 42 U.S.C. § 1981a, and various violations of state law, including an unfair and deceptive trade practice claim under N.C.
