MEMORANDUM OPINION
JOPLIN, Judge:
Claimant Aaron DesMarais (Claimant) seeks review of the trial court’s order directing forfeiture of Eleven Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-six dollars ($11,566.00) on petition *35therefor by Appellee State of OHahoma (State). In this appeal, Claimant asserts that pertinent OHahoma law does not permit forfeiture of the money.
An OHahoma Highway Patrol Trooper stopped the Lexus automobile driven by Claimant for speeding, and issued a written warning to Claimant. The trooper then asked Claimant for permission to search the vehicle. Claimant demurred, but “almost in the…
